Teaching Fellow Courses are another opportunity that fellows are given that allow them to learn more about teaching as well as allows them to know the people in their cohort even better. Each of the courses have a specific purpose behind them that strives to help each of our Teaching Fellows grow and become teacher leaders. It is also important to note that the content taught in these classes may change from year to year. Below is more information about each specific TF course from this past year.
TFP 102
This course is taken during the second semester of Freshmen year. This course focuses on teaching the fellows the content from the "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" book.
TFP 201
This course is taken during the first semester of sophomore year. Fellows briefly cover the 7 Habits book again and then are able to practice presenting an educational topic to the class.
TFP 202
This course is taken during the second semester of sophomore year. Fellows are able to learn about educational topics, recruiting for the teaching profession, and other topics in this class.
TFP 301
This course is taken during junior year. In past years, inclusive culture within the classroom as well as cultural responsiveness and progressive education were topics that the fellows learned.
